FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION TERMS & DISCLAIMER
By proceeding with a photography booking, the client agrees to the following terms set by Jennifer Main / Jennifer Main Photography.
If you do not agree with any of these terms, please contact me before booking and await a response. By completing your booking and payment, you confirm acceptance of the terms outlined below.
PHOTOGRAPHY CONSENT
The client gives permission for themselves and all persons included in the booking to be photographed by Jennifer Main / Jennifer Main Photography.
Parents and carers provide consent for any children included in the session.
IMAGE DELIVERY
Your professionally edited high-resolution digital images will be delivered via an online gallery sent to your email address. Please ensure you check your spam folder.
You can view, share and download your selected images directly from your gallery.
⚠️ Please always use the download option provided. Do not screenshot or save images directly from your screen, as this can significantly reduce image quality.
MODEL RELEASE / PORTFOLIO USE
Please select your preference on the booking form.
If you select YES, thank you for helping my small business grow. Selected images from your session may be used in the Jennifer Main Photography portfolio, including my website, photography social media pages and promotional materials.
For privacy, identifying information will not be published alongside portfolio images.
If you select NO, images from your session will not be used in my public photography portfolio or promotional materials, however Images without any identification to the client or images without faces may be used.
SESSION SAFETY
Every reasonable effort will be made to provide a safe and enjoyable photography experience.
Clients remain completely responsible for their own safety and for the supervision and safety of their children and pets at all times throughout the session.
Photography sessions may take place in natural outdoor environments including beaches, parks, bushland, grassed areas and other locations where uneven ground, water, wildlife, weather conditions and other natural hazards may be present.
Please advise me before the session of any accessibility requirements or other considerations that may affect your chosen location.
Jennifer Main / Jennifer Main is not to be held liable in any way or form in case of client, child or pet injury. Clients maintain full responsibility for care and supervision.
CHILDREN & PETS
Parents and carers remain responsible for supervising children throughout the photography session.
Pet owners remain responsible for the control and supervision of their pets at all times. Please bring an appropriate lead, water and anything else your pet may need.
Please advise me beforehand if your pet is nervous, reactive, elderly or has any other requirements that I should be aware of when planning the session.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
Your session is officially booked once the required booking form has been completed and the applicable deposit has been received.
Any remaining balance must be paid by the agreed due date / often your session day prior to start, and no later than the photography session.
A booking is not considered confirmed until the required booking payment has been received.
SESSION & PACKAGE DETAILS
Please check your package details before booking.
If you have any special requests, accessibility requirements or particular photographs you would like me to capture, please include these on your booking form or contact me before your session.
While every effort will be made to capture requested photographs, specific poses, expressions or combinations cannot be guaranteed, particularly when working with young children, babies or pets.
LARGE & EXTENDED FAMILIES
Please advise me of the total number of people attending when booking, this will be on your booking form.
For larger or extended-family sessions, additional photography time may be recommended to allow enough time for different family combinations and individual groups. Please ensure you book the extended family option.
ILLNESS
If you or a member of your family becomes unwell before your session, please contact me as soon as possible, so we can reschedule.
Where reasonable notice is provided, I will endeavour to reschedule your session to another suitable available date.
Please do not attend a photography session when you or a participating family member is significantly unwell.
BAD WEATHER
As my family photography sessions are primarily held outdoors, sessions may need to be postponed or rescheduled due to rain, storms, strong winds, extreme heat, unsafe conditions or other unsuitable weather.
Weather decisions are generally made as close to the session as reasonably practical, as local conditions can change quickly.
If I determine that conditions are unsuitable or unsafe for photography, we will arrange another suitable date.
LATE ARRIVALS
Please arrive ready for your session at the agreed time.
If you arrive late, your session may still need to finish at the originally scheduled finishing time, particularly where other bookings or sunset timing are involved.
Significant lateness may reduce the number and variety of photographs that can reasonably be captured, an option to purchase additional session time may be made available, please ask.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your photography session.
Booking deposits may be non-refundable where time has been specifically reserved for your session. Where sufficient notice (more than 2-3 weeks) is provided, a refund minus transaction fees will be possible.
Cancellations caused by unsuitable weather or circumstances where Jennifer Main Photography needs to reschedule will be offered an alternative suitable date or a full refund.
PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE
By booking Jennifer Main Photography, you acknowledge that you have viewed and are familiar with my photography and editing style.
My photography focuses on natural, relaxed and playful moments alongside gently guided portraits.
Final artistic decisions, cropping, colour treatment, black-and-white conversions, retouching and overall editing style, remain at the photographer's discretion. If you have any specific requirements please ask before editing begins.
IMAGE SELECTION
Where your package includes a set number of digital images, you may be provided with an online proof gallery from which to select your favourites.
The number of final professionally edited images supplied will be based on the package purchased.
Additional images may be available for purchase where applicable.
EDITING & RETOUCHING
All final images are professionally edited by Jennifer Main Photography.
Standard editing may include adjustments to colour, exposure, contrast, cropping and minor distractions where appropriate and other retouching.
Extensive retouching, significant alterations, body reshaping, clothing replacement, background reconstruction or other substantial editing may attract an additional fee if required and may not always be possible.
RAW / UNEDITED IMAGES
RAW files and unfinished or unedited photographs are not supplied.
IMAGE ALTERATION
The final supplied images represent the finished work and style of Jennifer Main Photography.
Clients and third parties do not have permission to alter, filter, crop, or otherwise modify the images in any way.
Altering images misrepresents the photographer’s work and damages the integrity of our style and reputation.
IMAGE SUPPLY TIMELINE
Your edited digital images will be supplied via an online gallery within the approximate turnaround time advised at the time of your booking.
Turnaround times may vary during busy periods.
BACKUP & STORAGE OF IMAGES
Once your gallery has been delivered, please download and safely back up your photographs, download will be available for the specified time (often 7 days).
Online galleries are not intended to be permanent long-term storage, and clients are responsible for keeping their own copies of purchased images after delivery.
A fee may be applicable if you require a re-upload of your gallery.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
In the unlikely event that Jennifer Main Photography is unable to attend outside reasonable control, every effort will be made to reschedule the session or a full refund.
Where rescheduling is not reasonably possible, payments relating to photography services that cannot be provided will be addressed with the client accordingly.
